Paul Michael Hill is an Irishman who was wrongfully convicted of terrorism charges related to bombings in England in the mid-1970s. He was one of the "Guildford Four," a group of individuals who were falsely accused of carrying out bombings in Guildford, Surrey, and Woolwich, London in 1974. Hill and three others were sentenced to life in prison in 1975, but their convictions were eventually overturned in 1989 after it was revealed that police had fabricated evidence against them.
After his release, Hill moved to the United States where he became an advocate for criminal justice reform and the wrongfully convicted. He has written a memoir about his experiences, titled "Stolen Years: Before and After Guildford," and has spoken out about the importance of ensuring that justice is served for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances. Hill's case has been the subject of several films and documentaries, bringing attention to the injustice he and the other Guildford Four members faced.
